ORDing soon – June this year… Serious business for me starting from the beginning of this year because i want to make my plans and future career options as definite and clear as possible. So that after ORD i wont be asking myself: “Hey Ben, where r u heading???!??!?” I’m more clear of the career path that i will be heading. The path to be taken is not going to be easy, but i will not be afraid to overcome any barriers to be successful in LIFE!
Starting from Jan, Schedules are pretty HECTIC.
1.) Shit Work in camp
2.) AFP course studies
3.) Personal Fitness schedule
Night class every Tuesday… Wed, Thurs, Fri have to revise, study and make notes on the lessons taught on tuesday. Sat and sun will be practicing exam and quiz questions. Mon n Tue are the days for corrections and reading up on lessons that will be taught on Tue night class. Exam is in April and seriously i need to work hard and be SUPER focus so as to be able to cope with the fast pace of the course module. Therefore my i dont really have much social life during the weekend when im out of camp… I’m either working out at the gym or studying at home… In camp, i tried to escape from all the SHIT work as far as possible so that i could spend precious time studying in my bunk.
No on is able to have EVERYTHING they want in LIFE! Many a times, we will incur OPPORTUNITY COST. It all depends on the choices we make given that we cant have everything we want. Therefore to get the most out of life, you have to know what you are giving up in order to gain something else.
During these few days of the CNY, i gathered my goals and resolutions for 2010 and made a video on it. It will constantly remind me and keep me on the right track of what i need to achieve by the end of this year…
Still considering if i should post the video up here…
Future Plans Re-Structuring:
Hmmm… Anyway i drafted out a time line of my future plans all the way till 50 years old. Its broken down into one 3 years plan and four 5 years plans. From now till when i reach 30, its gg to be a very crucial stage in my life. I’m going for my CFA and a career in wealth management after getting my Bsc (Hons) in Banking & Finance. From 25 to 30 would be my prime and i hope to learn as much and gain valuable experiences in the banking and investment industry. At the same time i will save and invests wisely to build up my dollar nest.
From 30 to 35 would be another stage of my career in the banking sector. After getting my CFA at 30, i would love to move into the private banking or Investment banking sector. It’s also time for me to get my own house. Hopefully i am able to get a house at Sentosa Cove area. By this time, i should be FINANCIALLY stable and would love to set up my own family.
From 35 to 40, it’s time to be my own BOSS. I would love to kick start my own business in the health & fitness industry in S’pore. Structure of plans yet to be confirmed so i don’t wanna talk too much here. However throughout all these years, i will be keeping a close watch on market trends and opportunities.
By 45, i should earn my 1st MILLION, have stable stream of income from my personal portfolio investments and business income as well as sufficient savings accumulated all these years. So it’s time to prepare for retirement and get involve in philanthropy work so as to keep myself fruitfully occupied and contribute back to the world and society!!!
