Academic achievement
Well… as for academic wise, attachment finally ended on Feb 01. Wow.. Initially it was hard to juggle both work and school’s assignments and other personal commitments all at the same time. A tiring journey though, but i am proud that i manged to clear that 6 months successfully. Along the way, i learnt many people management skills as well as time management skills which will benefit me when i step into the work force next time. I’ve also met up with my datelines for the 2 major assignments - formal report and multi-media project on time. I did put in alot of effort in the 2 assignments and i hope i will do well for this last semester!!! God Bless

Can’t wait to get my Diploma in Accountancy
CNY’08
One week after the end of APT, its CNY… Did not really have much celebration this year… some how or rather, just don’t have the mood ya… There’s ample of time for me to go shopping 1 week before CNY, but i still did some last minute shopping and bought all my new yr clothes at Plaza Singapura-Giordano & Everlast one day before Eve of CNY… Spent around $200 bucks on 5 tops and 1 bottoms… quite worth it right… haaa cos Giordano got 30% discount during that period of sales… SMART shopping!!!
But anyway, i enjoyed the reunion dinner with my family members on eve of CNY… I also met up with my Nanny and his son Ah Leng for dinner during the CNY period…

UNI course evaluation
Straight after my attachment, i did an evaluation on all the business related courses for all 3 universities. These are my 3 top choices in my uni application:
1st choice – SMU Bacholar in business
2nd choice – SMU Bacholar in economics
3rd choice – NTU Double degree in business & accountancy
I really hope my hard work pays off and bring me to where i aimed for….
Extra Income – Permanent part time job before N.S
After CNY, i immediately went to look for my agent at Recruit Express for temp positions before my national service enlistment, which will be probably around June… I wanna earn & SAVE as much as i possibly could before my enlistment.. U know something … N.S pay suckssss… :X Especially as a recruit during BMT period…
Other than that reason, partly also because i wanna be more independent and be able to support personal expenses and for what ever course fees that i have to pay each month.
Recruit Express job agent - they are so efficient alright! After sending my resume over to them, i received quite alot of calls from for various positions… However, most of the jobs they recommended me are Accounts related… Probably because i’m doing dip in accountancy and my past working experiences with other companies.
To be honest, i’m REALLY damn sick of doing accounting for the last 6 mths during my attachment… And now they are pushing all the accounts position to me… However, from this job search, i realised that even for part time job, accounts positions are higher paid as compared to other positions like sales & marketing, tele- marketing, customer service, Admin etc… This may also be 1 reason why they choose to recommend accounts postition to their candidates whenever they could so earn more commission, i guess…
Maybe that’s the reason why Accounting degree is known as a professional degree, just like doctorate, Law and engineering…
The agent got me a 3 months temp contract with Manulife Financial… Its one of the top insurance company in Canada… Actually, i hesitated for quite a while before taking up this job… Reason being:
1st - I have not rested enough after hectic attachment
2nd - I HATE to wear formal clothings every day !!!!
3rd - I’m so sick of accounts now WW !!!!
4th - I’m also sick of Office working Hrs 8 – 5 !!!!
5th - I need more time for self development & relaxation – reading, dad’s business, training, chilling… etc
Haixxx… No point grumbling abt it … I have taken up the contract and this is my 3rd week of work in the company…. Pay wise not too bad as a part timer, i guess… but the job scope is like quite @$%$^*&… 
Hope things will get better , but i don’t really need to care about any other things besides getting my job done I won’t do any OT for sure…
I’ve got other commitments as well, like teaching tuition on Monday and Friday, Gym training on Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday… Therefore, i’ve got only WED, FRI nite, 1/2 of SAT and 1/2 of SUN for me to really rest, read and get some peace…
Training Workout
Yup… quite satisfied with my workout progress… Incorporated cardio exercise before and after my workout so as to burn more FATS and get leaner of course… Saturday would be swimming & sun tan day for me from March onwards…
New Hobby = Reading while Suntanning
Still considering if i should try Supplement: Hydroxy-Cut for better and faster results for my gym workout… ?!?!?
Acquire more knowledge in finance n investment
Basically, this is an everyday task for me. Besides reading the Business Times, Smart Investors magazine, Spore business review and newletters from Investorguide.com…etc, i have add on to my reading from “The Economists” magazine (cost bloody $12.00, quite ex man!!) Its a good reading material to understand the economies and many political issues around the world.
Some other websites which i find it useful and will be starting to at least visit them once a week are:
1.) www.bloomberg.com
2.) www.money.cnn.com
3.) www.reuters.com
However, i did not managed to finish Feb ’s Smart Investors magazine. I’m still doing research on some articles of Dec’s magazine. Highlighted quite a few doubts from the contents of various articles and still finding time to complete my research.
Oh ya .. one more thing … after reading the various articles from Smartguide.com regarding personal finance management – Budgeting, i came out with my own 3 mths budget plan to accomodate my temp job. This will allow me to keep track of my expenses and control my spendings so as to achieve my saving goals at the end of the contract.
Dad’s business tasks not accomplish
1.) Planning & research on marketing plans and website building not done…!>!<! Seriously i need 48 hours a day man… It’s really tiring after work…. and when it’s friday, i just don’t have the mood to carry out any research planss… Haixxxx… Maybe i’ll have to postphone this major task to the 2nd half of the year when i enter national service as i would have plenty of personal time for execution of business plans…
